Toronto - King Street East
King Street East & St Lawrence Market is in Toronto. This Neighbourhood stretches from Yonge Street in the west to the Don River in the East and from Queen Street in the north to the Lakeshore corridor railway line. It encompasses the smaller districts of King Street East, the St Lawrence Market area, Corktown and the Distillery District. There are a large number of bars and restaurants spread along Front and The Esplanade, between Yonge and Jarvis, filling those streets with people even late into the night. King Street between Church and Berkeley contains many designer furniture shops, giving the street its nickname: "the design strip". Corktown refers to the area along and around King from Berkeley to Queen, while sections of this neighbourhood may appear run-down, much of it is being gentrified, with several software companies renovating old warehouses. It should be noted, however, that the area immediately around and underneath the Adelaide and Richmond Street ramps should be avoided at night.
