Slagelse is a traffic hub for western Zealand. There are many busses.

Slagelse is on the main Copenhagen-Jutland line with two trains an hour in each direction.

Slagelse is on the Slagelse-Høng-Tølløse private line.

Open Apr-May: Sa-Th 10AM to 4PM, Jun-Aug: Sa-Th 10AM to 5PM, Sep-Oct:Sa-Th 10AM to 4PM. Entrance DKK 50. Trelleborg is the remains of one of the big Viking ring fortresses constructed ca 980 AD.

  • Vestsjællandscentret [2] Jernbanegade 10. A mall at the center of Slagelse.

  • Cafe Mikkel, Nytorv 5 next to Mikkels church, tel: +45 58581366. Cafe with good food for lunch and brunch. Located in long narrow room with white arches that once belonged to the church.
