Travel to Ruhengeri - Visa Requirements
There several bus companies who serve Kigali-Ruhungeri direction every hour. It takes 2.5 hours of journey to get into Ruhungeri from Kigali. Busses in Rwanda are more convinient compare to other busses in East Africa countries. One recommended bus company is Volcano. The bus cost RFr 1600 for one way journey (April 2008)
Tours and Getting around Ruhengeri
It is not too imposible to get around Ruhungeri by walk. The other choice to get around is by motorcycle Taxi. The cost is around a little bit more expensive than Kigali but it can be negoitiated.
