Metro
You can reach Cotes-des-Neiges from the Côtes-des-Neiges, Université de Montreal stations on the Blue Line and Côte Ste-Catherine station on the Orange Line.
Buses to Montreal - Cotes-des-Neiges
The 161 Van Horne runs from Rosemont metro, at the far north of the Plateau. From the south-west of the Plateau the 129 Cote-Ste-Catherine follows the edge of Mont Royal through Outremont. 165 Cote-des-Neige covers the north-south route from Downtown.

- St. Joseph's Oratory (Oratoire Saint-Joseph), 3800 chemin Queen Mary (metro Côte-des-Neiges) [1].]The largest church in Canada. A favourite pilgrimage for devotees of Brother André, who was reputed to have healed the sick and handicapped. Includes a remarkable collection of crutches and canes from the healed. During the summer, it is also possible to stroll through the beautiful garden next to the Oratory which features the Stages of the Cross in marble sculptures. The garden is peaceful and beautifully maintained. The views from both the Oratory and the garden are magnificent and well-worth the climb. - Cote-des-Neiges and Mount-Royal Cemeteries, 4601 Côte-des-Neiges. Wander among the more than one million graves covering the north slope of Mont Royal. No bikes or picnicking.

The multicultural communities of Cotes-des-Neiges are all well represented on the dining scene. This is the place to come for Kosher, Lebanese, Caribbean, and even Romanian. Cheap eats line Queen Mary, Decarie, and Cotes-des-Neige avenue.
Budget
- Exception 2, 5047, chemin Queen-Mary, ☎ 514-344-0508. Kosher dairy restaurant featuring thin crust pizzas.
- Chez Benny, 5071 Queen Mary(next to Snowdon metro), ☎ 514-735-1836. Kosher Meat. Fast food eatery serving Lebanese dishes: shawarma, falafel, merguez and the likes. Really, really busy on weekend nights.
- Pizza Pita, 6415 Blvd Decaire, ☎ 514-731-7482. Typical, fast food fare, but kosher, and Cholov Yisroel. Falafels are generously stuffed and fried eggplants give a tasty twist. Very popular with high schoolers and the frum set, especially on Saturday nights. One of the best veggie pizzas in Montreal.
Mid-range
- Exodus, 5395 Queen-Mary, ☎ 514-483-6610. Excellent Kosher Moroccan food at a reasonable price. Solid steaks. Owned by family from France. Nicely decorated, but can be crowded.
- Le Camélia des tropiques, 5024 Côtes-des-Neiges(Corner of Queen Mary). Unusually good (for Montreal) Vietnamese food. Phõ, meats, seafood, and veggie curries. Ask for the "by-request" extra hot hot sauce.Three-course table d'hôte, $15.
- Ernie's and Ellie's Place, 6900 Decarie Blvd(in the mall), ☎ 514-344-4444. Kosher meat restaurant. Everything goes: Russian, Chinese, Moroccan, you name it. Regular "Canadian" kitchen isn't bad either. Food served very quickly. Decor is trying to be nice, but misses some edge. It doesn't matter though, because this place gets customers no matter what.
- Yakimono Sushi Bar, 4210 Decarie Boulevard(Villa Maria metro). (514) 484-1515 Dairy. Kosher Sushi restaurant. Takeout and delivery available.
- Bistro Olivieri, 5219 chemin de la cote-des-Neiges, ☎ 514-739-3303. Open Weekdays 9AM-10PM, Weekends 10AM-7PM. Relaxing bistro-cafe located inside a bookstore. Catch up on your reading over one of their featured dishes such as roulade de truite (trout paté), rabbit, or a salad and local cheese platter. $10-$15.
Splurge
- Il Galateo, 5315 Gatineau(metro Côte-des-Neiges). Open Mon-Fri 11:30AM-11PM, Sat 5:30PM-11:30PM. You could easily walk by without noticing this subterranean Italian restaurant, but you'd be missing out on a secret gem. Standard pasta, meat, and seafood plus a few surprises like dandelion salad. $15-20.
- Restaurant Le Béarn, 5613 Côtes-des-Neiges, ☎ 514-733-4102. Cozy, upscale French cuisine.

Accommodations are limited in this area. The closest concentration of hotels and Bed and Breakfasts are located in the Plateau or Downtown.
