The Julian Alps [1] are a region of Slovenia. They are part of The Alps and extend over the border into north-eastern Italy. They were named after Julius Caesar. They offer a wonderul alpine flair, that would have you swear you were in Upper Bavaria or Tyrol on a good day's hiking.
