Hirtshals is an important ferry habour in North Jutland, Denmark.

The European route E39 highway ends in Hirtshals, where cars can continue their journey via ferry to Norway. Nordjyllands trafik selskab[1] route 224 connects to Hjørring serveral times per day. As does the private railway; Nordjyske Jernbaner[2] every 30-60 minuttes throughout the day.

By ferry

  • Fjord Line, Trailerkajen 1, +45 97 96 30 00(booking@fjordline.dk). Runs a overnight route to Stavanger (11½ hours), continuing onwards to Bergen (19½ hours), both in Norway. The ferry departs Hirtshals Tuesdays at 14.30 and on Thursdays and Sundays at 12.30. Plus a departure just to Stavanger Saturday (8,5 hrs).
