Golf in England

Bedfordshire / Norfolk

Golf is a well established sport in England. It has in excess of 1,900 golf clubs according to the English Golf Union. Men's Golf has been organised on a National basis since 1924, although this is later than in the other British Isles and the United States. That being said many of England's golf clubs have long histories.

One of Golf's Major Competions, The Open Championship is held in England approximately every two years. It was last held in England in 2006 at Royal Liverpool Golf Club, Hoylake, [Wirral]. It will host the open next, in 2008 at the Royal Birkdale Golf Club, Lancashire.

Bedfordshire

Mount Pleasant Golf Club. A friendly, relaxed 9 hole course with 18 tees. Smart denims OK. £9.00/£11.50 for 9 holes on weekdays/weekends. £16.00/£20.50 for 18 holes on weekdays/weekends.

Norfolk

Beautiful 18 hole course along the cliffs.

There is a 9 hole course here at the racetrack. Also at a separate location there is a driving range and a pitch and putt course.
