By car

Glen Echo is located just off the Capital Beltway (I-495). Take the Clara Barton/Cabin John Parkway exit. Go 2.5 miles and take the MacArthur Boulevard/Glen Echo exit (this is a left exit). Turn left onto MacArthur Boulevard. For the park, go two blocks to Oxford Road (just past the Glen Echo shopping center) and turn left into the Glen Echo Park parking lot.

  • Clara Barton National Historic Site, 5801 Oxford Road, (301) 320-1410, [2]. tours on the hour 10AM-4PM. See where Clara Barton, founder of the American Red Cross, lived the last 15 years of her life.Free.
