Parana : Capitão Leonidas Marques
Capitão Leonidas Marques
CLM for short, is a city of 15,000 located about 50 kilometers from Cascavel - the major city in the Westernmost area of Paraná along with Foz do Iguaçu. CLM is said to be very tranquil and has a small town feel. Most of its people still live in the beautiful rural area made of green rolling hills, tobacco plantations, fruit trees and small family businesses.
There are bus services to CLM from Cascavel and Foz do Iguaçu several times a day. The bus company responsible for the stretch is Cattani Sul. The ticket from Cascavel costs R$ 5.00 and R$ 25.00 from Foz do Iguaçu. Travel time is three hours from Foz.
The Iguassu River bathes Capitão Leônidas Marques but it is rather far from downtown and transportation is difficult.
- Taxis or a jerica (a jerica is home-made car powered by a water pump motor of sorts).
