Once you reach your destination you may be wanting some Amusement. While visiting the museum and art gallery is all very well for the culturally inclined, some need a little more excitement in their lives. If you're the sort of person who finds climbing to the top of a tall building to only look at the view a rather pointless exercise, started to wonder what else you could do from such a great height and then wished you could jump off, rather than walk back down the stairs, then consider these travel ideas.

Jumps and falls

If you have ever considered leaping off a tall building in a single bound, but been afraid because of the stop at the end of the fall, consider;

  • Jump off the Skytower in Auckland, New Zealand. A wild ride for one from the tallest building in the Southern Hemispere. Ok, you are suspended on a rope but the controlled descent means you fall free a lot of the way before the brakes come on....

Bungy jumps

Want to wash your hair? Leap off a tall bridge with a rubber band tied round your ankles! Well that seems to be the concept of a bungy jump....

  • Tandem hang gliding - the pilot does the flying, you go along for the ride....
  • Fly by Wire - Puts you in the pilot seat....

Boat rides

  • Jetboating - These boats have two speeds, fast and very fast. It all depends how close the rocks are....

  • The classic thrill ride! The motto is higher, faster, longer and twistier....

Amusement & Theme Parks

It is all very well to go some place for just one ride, but what if they were all collected together in one place, then you could go on ride, after ride, after ride....
