Getting into Alyeska is a 45 minute drive from the hub-city Anchorage using the Seward Highway, which is listed as one of 27 All-American Roads. Situated on the Turnagain Arm, this highway is one of the most beautiful in the nation and is a destination in itself. During summer and fall, keep your eyes peeled for mountain goats, bears, and beluga whales.
