Aegadi Islands
The Aegadian Islands[1] (Italian: Isole Egadi) are a group of three islands about 10km west of Sicily in Italy.
The Islands
- Favignana - the main island, well known for its beaches.
- Levanzo - small, quiet and quite pretty.
- Marettimo - the furthest away from Sicily, with fewer boats. Attractive and good for walks.

Travel to Aegadi Islands & Visa Requirements
By boat
The are car ferries and much quicker hydrofoils from Trapani on Sicily to the islands - lots in Summer, with fewer during Spring, Autumn and Winter and on Sundays. For timetables see SIREMAR and Ustica Lines
Ferries run also from/to Marsala.
By plane/Airports
- The nearest airport is Trapani Birgi (TPS) at 14km.
- Palermo airport is at 85km.
Tours & Getting around Aegadi Islands
Levanzo and Marettimo are small enough to walk around. Most people hire bikes on Favignana to get to the beaches on the south coast.
